Sahil Rohira's
Artist Statement
For over a decade, I’ve told stories through images, not just of places or people, but of feeling. From Mumbai to Los Angeles, my creative journey has unfolded across continents, cultures and mediums, shaped by the rhythm of film, the edge of fashion, the pulse of music, and the soul of live experience.
I’ve managed productions for global campaigns, crafted visuals for luxury brands, and created content with some of the most influential artists of our time. But whether it’s a concert, a runway, a skyline, or a silent stretch of land, my work always begins with a single question: what does this moment feel like? I don’t just document, I translate. I try to make the invisible visible, to catch what’s felt but not said. My lens isn’t just a tool; it’s a bridge between emotion and image.
The View Beyond is a natural evolution of that intention. In this body of aerial work, I’ve shifted my perspective by rising above the ground to see more clearly what we often miss up close. These photographs are not about geography, but about atmosphere. Not about what’s seen, but what’s sensed. Each frame is an emotional landscape shaped by light, silence, and scale, a still point in a moving world.
In an age of constant motion, I create work that invites pause. That invites presence. that reminds us that sometimes, the only way to truly see… is to rise above.
PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION AT
THE WORLD CULTURE FILM FESTIVAL
Art from Above, is a meditation on scale, stillness, and the emotional resonance of perspective. Using drone cinematography as a brush, he paints sweeping aerial compositions that transform natural landscapes and human environments into abstract works of art. Each image invites the viewer to pause, reflect, and reconnect—with the earth and with themselves.
Through this exhibition, Sahil explores the poetry of distance and the clarity that comes from seeing the world from above.
